Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide the educational loan to meet out the expenses pertaining to the petitioner's son namely Vivek Kumar, B.E.(Mechanical Engineering) studies at CSI College of Engineering, Ketti, The Nilgiris for academic years 2017-2018, 2018-2019 within a stipulated time.

ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner is that though he had given a representation on 27.07.2017 seeking for educational loan for his son, who is pursuing B.E. Mechanical Engineering Course in C.S.I.College of Engineering, Nilgiris, no orders have been passed on the same so far and hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the respondents submitted that educational loan cannot be processed on the basis of the representation and hence, the petitioner is required to submit proper application for the same. It is his further submission that in case the application is accompanied with necessary enclosures as per the Scheme, the same would be considered by the respondents favourably. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In the light of the submissions made by the learned counsel

for the respondents, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the second respondent with an application seeking for educational loan for his son along with the required enclosures and on receipt of such application, the second respondent shall pass favourable orders disbursing the loan amount to the petitioner, if it is otherwise in order. Such an exercise shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the petitioner's application.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
