2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has purchased the property in S.No.16, Plot No.62 in Muneerpallam Village, Melapalayam SRO, Tirunelveli District, by way of registered sale deed in Doc.No.4844/2015, dated 20.08.2015 from one S.Palani. Thereafter, the first respondent, on receipt of the complaint from one Krishnan, who is a retired Inspector of Police, has harassed the petitioner for enquiry. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that a complaint received from one Krishnan on 16.05.2022 and it has been registered in Current Paper No.125/SPGDP/SDOC/2022 and G5/2447903/SP GDP/2022. 4.Considering the submission made on either side, this Court finds that even in a civil dispute if any criminal offence is involved, the respondent Police has statutory power to register the case and investigate the same. Therefore, this petition, seeking direction not to interfere in the civil dispute, is unsustainable.
