in accordance with law and to fill the vacancies of Doctors and other health care workers in the fifth respondent hospital and to equip the fifth respondent hospital with the sufficient health care equipments in an expedite manner in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] The matter complained of cannot be conveniently addressed by the Court. The petitioner desires that the medical facilities in Rajasinga Mangalam Taluk in Ramanathapuram District be augmented. There is no doubt that medical facilities should be updated across the State, particularly considering the pandemic and the burgeoning population and increasing demand on hospital beds and the like. 2.The petitioner makes out a case for the upgradation of the Primary Health Care Centre at R.S.Mangalam Taluk and for it to be designated as a Taluk hospital. The petitioner also wants vacancies to be filled up at the District Headquarter Hospital at Ramanathapuram together with additional staff and doctors. 3.

The matters referred to by the petitioner have to be taken up by the State agencies and decided as per the perceived requirements and resources. Accordingly, the petitioner is permitted to carry a representation to the third respondent-Director of the Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services for such official to consider the augmentation of Rural Health Facilities all over the State, including at R.S.Mangalam Taluk at Ramanathapuram to meet the needs of the local people. It is hoped that the State Government will provide appropriate funds and support for augmenting the medical facilities across the rural belts in the State as expeditiously as possible.
