The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on her final representation dated 08.07.2017 seeking to sanction and disburse 2nd year M.C.A.
scholarship amount in the light of the recommendations made by the fourth respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.3966/H/2016 dated 17.07.2017.
2.Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner would state that she belongs to Schedule Caste Community. The State Government through Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department has implemented scholarship for Schedule Caste students. The petitioner applied scholarship during her study in the fourth respondent college.
4.The petitioner would state that the scholarship was sanctioned to the petitioner for the first and third year MCA course, but for the second year, the scholarship amount was not sanctioned. Hence, she sent a representation to the respondents on 08.07.2017.
5.Mr.E.V.N.Siva, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the fourth respondent college has recommended for sanction of the scholarship vide proceedings dated 17.07.2017. Even then, there is no order in favour of the petitioner, hence, the present writ petitioner.
6.In the light of the above facts, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the dated 08.07.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
