ORDER

Since the petitioner's representation dated 28.08.2017, to the 1st respondent requesting to treat the promotion of the petitioner into the post of Superintendant as notionally, with consequential monetary benefits earlier from 04.07.2011 and to fix his seniority in the post of Superintendant over and above the respondents 2 to 13, has not been considered so far, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent.

3. Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.08.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
