The petitioners, seeking police protection for conducting Kumbabishekam at Alagampatti Sri Kaali Bagavathi Amman Temple, situated at Alagampatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul, have submitted a representation to the respondents and also filed this writ petition.

2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioners' representation is under process. Since there are two groups in the village and other group is opposing for conducting Kumbabishekam, they have issued a summon to other group.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioners' representation is under process, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent Police to take a decision on the petitioners' representation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
