Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to register the case based on the complaint and as well as the statement recorded by the second respondent police dated 16.08.2017 in respect of the occurrence took place on 16.08.2017 in which the petitioner sustained injuries due to the indiscriminate attack of the accused party. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint and as well as the statement recorded by the second respondent police dated 16.08.2017.

2. Today, when the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 16.08.2017, a case has been registered in Crime No.119 of 2017 on the file of the second respondent.
