..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner in the post of Grade-II Police Constable for the year 2017- 2018 or in the next Recruitment Year without adhering to age in the light of Judgment in W.A.No.636 of 2010 based on his Representation dated 31.07.2017.

ORDER

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner in the post of Grade-II Police Constable for the year 2017- 2018 or in the next Recruitment Year without adhering to age in the light of Judgment in W.A.No.636 of 2010 based on his Representation dated 31.07.2017.

2.Heard Mr.N.Anandkumar, learned counsel, for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer, if a direction is given to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2017 and order to that effect is passed, the petitioner will be satisfied.

4.I have heard the learned Additional Government Pleader in this regard, who would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law and an order to that effect will be passed within the time be stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the aforesaid submission made on both sides, this writ petition is disposed of with the following direction:- "that the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders to that effect within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

No costs.
