Complainant Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records pertaining to the proceeding in Crime No.1211 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thatchanallur Police Station, Tirunelveli District and quash the same as against the petitioner.

This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the FIR in Crime No.1211 of 2020 registered on the file of the first respondent.

2.The defacto complainant/Rajeswari is the wife of the petitioner herein. She is present before this Court and she is identified by Mr.N.Balasubramanian (Enrollment No.2586 of 2011). The defacto complainant has no objection for quashing the impugned FIR. When the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement, no purpose will be served in keeping the prosecution alive. The petitioner and the defacto complainant are none other than the husband and wife. Due to marital misunderstanding, the defacto complainant had made an attempt on her own life. Now the parties have reunited and they are living under the same roof. The petitioner also informs the Court that he will conduct himself in such a manner so as not to cause any anguish to his wife. 3.In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties, the impugned FIR is quashed and the criminal original petition is allowed.
