This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to sanction the difference amount in respect of Gratuity, Surrender Leave Salary, Employees Provident Fund and other pension benefits eligible to the petitioner, as per the entries made in page No.31 of the 2/6

Service Register of the petitioner (Rs.9300-34,800-4300) along with 18% interest per annum.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's scale of pay was revised as Rs.9300-34,800-4,300/- from 05.11.2012 and he retired from service on 30.11.2013. However, the petitioner was paid the Gratuity, Surrender Leave Salary and other retirement benefits on the basis of old scale of pay of Rs. 5,200-20,200-2400/-. In this regard, he has made a representation to the respondents on 30.12.2020 to calculate his retirement benefits as per the revised scale of pay. However, no order has been passed by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. It is further submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that it is suffice, if this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.12.2020, within a stipulated time.

4. Mr.A.Sivanupandian, learned Government Advocate takes notice for R1 and Mr.KJagadees Balan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for R2 to R4.

5. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the present writ petition, this Court directs the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2020 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
