PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to issue equivalence certificate to the effect that the BSc.,(Food Nutrition and Dietetics) awarded by the 5th respondent University as an equivalent educational qualification prescribed for the post of Child Development Project Officer under Social Welfare Department in Public Services within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
The petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue equivalence certificate to the effect that the BSc.,(Food Nutrition and Dietetics) awarded by the 5th respondent the 2/5
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University as an equivalent educational qualification prescribed for the post of Child Development Project Officer under Social Welfare Department in Public Services. 2.When this writ petition has been taken up for hearing, it is reported that the relief sought for in this writ petition has already been granted vide government order in G.O(Ms)No.79 Agriculture - Farmers Welfare (AU) Department, dated 15.03.2024 and the degree in BSc (Food Nutrition and Dietetics) awarded by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has been declared as equivalent degree to BSc., Home Science - Nutrition / Nutrition and Dietetics / Food and Nutrition for the purpose of public employment.
3.In view of the subsequent developments, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
