PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.104 of 2024 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- 1/3

The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.104 of 2024, for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 452, 294(b), 323, 324, 307, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 , has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant and the petitioner/A3 are husband and wife. The petitioner/A3 is having illegal affair with another person. When the same was questioned by the defacto complainant, the petitioner along with other accused have abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and also assaulted him with a sickle and caused injury. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that the defacto complainant sustained grievous injury. 2/3

5. Considering the nature of offence and also considering the condition of the victim, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
