Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to dispose the appeal filed before the 1st respondent dated 08.06.2021 for enhancement of award amount for the lands acquired by the above respondents situated in S.No.890/3A1B (0.48.75 Ares, 1054 Sq.m) at Sethur Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District, for the Natham to Thuvarangurichi four ways project within a time frame as stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks the expeditious disposal of arbitration proceedings before the Designated Arbitrator, namely, the District Collector Dindigul in respect of a claim for enhanced compensation in relation to a highways acquisition.

2. Mr.R.Baskaran, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 and 5 and Mr.Arul Vadivel @ Sekar, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner brings to my notice an earlier order dated 12.08.2021 in W.P.(MD).No.14119 of 2021, which related to similar relief.

4. In the said matter, I had referred to the time limits prescribed in the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and concluded that such time limits should be adhered to by the first respondent, and that in the light of such statutory prescription of time limits, it is not appropriate to fix different time limits. The present writ petition is also disposed of with the same observations.
