Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and second respondents and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.
2.The petitioners are facing trial in Spl. S.C.No.8 of 2020 on the file of the III Additional District and Sessions Court (PCR Court), Madurai, for the offences under Sections 447 and 294(b) of I.P.C. and Sections 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 and Section 3(1) of Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss) Act, 1992.
3.The third respondent is the defacto complainant. The defacto complainant has no objection for quashing the impugned proceedings. On the strength of the compromise entered into between https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

The defacto complainant is identified by his counsel. 4.The learned Government Advocate confirms that the issues has been amicably resolved between the parties. But then, I wanted to know whether the the defacto complainant received compensation from the administration.
Balamurugan/defacto complainant stated that he has not received any compensation sofar. 4.Since the parties have resolved the issue amicably and buried the hatchet, I am of the view that keeping the proceedings alive will not serve any purpose. Hence, the impugned proceedings stand quashed. The criminal original petition is allowed.
