PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.60 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of Tamil Nadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order, 1982 r/w. 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in Crime No.60 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner illegally transported 1100 kgs of PDS Rice in a vehicle bearing RegistrationNo.KL-01-1740. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is suspected to be the owner of the vehicle in question, whereas he is not the owner of the vehicle and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Police submits that though the RC book is in the another person's name, the petitioner is the real owner of the vehicle and he is a habitual offender. He further submitted that the petitioner along with other accused persons have collected PDC rice from various places and while transporting the same, they were intercepted by the police. On seeing the police party, the petitioner and the other accused persons ran away from the scene after parking the lorry. The petitioner is having seven previous cases out of which two cases were already convicted.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
