PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.Not Known of 2025 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 74, 351(2) of BNS and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No.Not Known of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, who is the manager of toll booth, allegedly molested a female staff member working under him. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that the petitioner was involved in a similar offence within the jurisdiction of Thoppur Police Station, Dharmapurai District, where allegations of sexual harassment were made in Crime No.168 of 2012 on the file of the Thoppur Police Station, Dharmapuri. He further submitted that the victim not only lodged a police complaint, but she has also approached the social welfare department seeking justice, and the investigation is still pending. It is also found that the complaint has also been enquired by the District Revenue Officer, Trichy. The District Revenue Officer, Trichy, has conducted an enquiry in this regard and submitted that the complaint constitutes a prima facie case.

5. Considering the nature of offence in this case and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
