ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to release the petitioner's vehicle TATA 608 bearing Registration No TN 72 A 8726. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition on the ground that the seized vehicle has also been produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sattur. However, he seeks a direction from this Court for speedy disposal of the criminal complaint pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sattur.

3.Admittedly, the vehicle was seized on 02.06.2018. The vehicle is lying idle from then onwards. Considering this fact, as and when the application is filed under Section 451 of Cr.P.C. for production of vehicle, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sattur, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD).No.14604 of 2020 will have to dispose of the said application as expeditiously as possible. This Court is of the considered view that the said application will have to be disposed of within a period of two weeks from the date of the filing of the said application. 4.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn and the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sattur, is directed to dispose of the application that is proposed to be filed by the petitioner under Section 451 of Cr.P.C., for return of the seized vehicle, within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of the said application by the petitioner. No costs.
