Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2016 and to issue patta in favour of the petitioners property in New Survey No.212/33 situated at Malaikovil village, Tiruverumbur, Trichy District within a stipulated time. O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation, dated 17.06.2016, wherein and whereby he sought for issuance of patta in respect of the property situated at New Survey No.212/33, Malaikovil village, Tiruverumbur, Trichy District.

2.Needless to say that it is for the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival claimants, if any. Therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner.

3.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass an order on the representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2016 on merits and in accordance with law after giving due opportunity of rival claimants. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
