Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents not to demolish the petitioner's late fathers Memorial Pillar and further direct the respondents to make the Memorial Pillar for Public View which is situated at Old Survey No.353/1, Maruthanvazhvu Village, Ottapidarum Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2024 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader on written instructions submitted that the petition mentioned memorial pillar standing in honor of the petitioner's father will not be demolished and taken down. Some improvement works are presently going on and they will be finalised within one week. These in my view address the petitioner's concerns.
