Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to release the petitioner's husband namely S.Babu @ Gopalakrishnan aged about 40 years on parole from 01.07.2024 till 15.07.2024 so as to enable him to execute a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2024, within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) The present Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus seeking direction to the respondents to release the petitioner's husband, namely, S.Babu @ Gopalakrishnan, aged about 40 years, on parole from 01.07.2024 till 15.07.2024 so as to enable him to execute a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2024.

2. Mr.A.Thiruvadikumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner seeking ordinary leave has been rejected by the first respondent vide proceedings in No.9724/cj.2/2024 dated 07.04.2024 and to that effect, he has also produced the proceedings dated 07.04.2024 before this Court.

3. In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings of the first respondent dated 07.04.2024 in the manner known to law, if so advised. There shall be no order as to costs.
