Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 09.02.2017 at night in connection with the "Thai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Kovil at Sevitankkadu Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.01.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.E.Balasubramanian For Respondents : Mr.D.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 09.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 18.01.2017 the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Avudaiyarkovil Police Station, Pudukkottai District is directed to look into the representation dated 18.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
