This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents 3 and 5 to implement the order of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.4210/2021/A1 dated 08.10.2021 and to issue patta to the petitioner for the properties situated in S.No. 152/2A, 164/1C2 and 211/2B1 situated at Sedapatti, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District.

In the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, it had been stated that the petitioner is doing agricultural activities and that his father was allotted surplus lands in Sedapatti, Peraiyur Taluk by the Assistant Commissioner of Land Reforms, Madurai vide Mr.IV.No. 3191/95 on 31.01.1995. Form-IV was issued to the father of the petitioner. After the demise of his father, the petitioner has sought transfer of patta and he had given a representation on 28.02.2019. The second respondent, the Tahsildar, Periyur Taluk, Madurai District had passed an order on 20.03.2019 in Na.Ka.No.1259/2019/A3 directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.3804/- to the Land Revenue Department as a pre-condition. The petitioner has also paid necessary payment. But still the direction of the second respondent had not been put into effect by the respondents 3 and 4.
3. A direction is issued to the third respondent to take into consideration the representation given by the petitioner more particularly the order of the second respondent and issue notice to the 3/5
petitioner and examine the documents presented by the petitioner and grant patta to the petitioner if he is otherwise eligible. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
