ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.85 of 2024, for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC and Section 3(1) of Tamil nadu Property (Prevention of Damage & Loss) Act, 1992, have filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that while attending funeral of one Ramar Pandian, who is a local political leader, the accused have damaged the glasses of the TNSTC Bus bearing Registration No.TN 58 N 1683. Hence the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that the petitioners are the followers of one Ramar Pandian, who is a notorious criminal at Karur. He was murdered at Karur on 26.03.2024. He was 2/4

taken to his residence at Madurai by way of procession. The petitioners along with the other accused, in order to show their strength, said to have caused damages to the public properties and also created panic among the public. He further submits that the petitioners are having eight previous cases to their credit.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioners and also considering the nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioners.
