Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct in respect of Innisai Katcheri programme on 22.05.2025 at 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m and Karakattam programme on 23.05.2025 at 8.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m. in pursuance to the temple festival namely "Arulmigu Sri Uoikattu Sudalai Madasamy Temple" at Kombankulam based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2025 within the time limit that may stipulated by this court. 1/4

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct in respect of Innisai Katcheri programme on 22.05.2025 at 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m and Karakattam programme on 23.05.2025 at 8.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m. in pursuance to the temple festival namely "Arulmigu Sri Uoikattu Sudalai Madasamy Temple" at Kombankulam based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2025.

2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents on 05.05.2025 seeking permission to conduct Innisai Katcheri programme on 22.05.2025 at 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m and Karakattam programme on 23.05.2025 at 8.00 p.m to 11.00 2/4

p.m. in pursuance to the temple festival namely "Arulmigu Sri Uoikattu Sudalai Madasamy Temple" at Kombankulam. Since the said representation was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.05.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 21.05.2025.
