This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 24.12.2016 and 05.09.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he has submitted a representation dated 24.12.2016 followed by a reminder dated 05.09.2017 to the 1st respondent for cancellation of the house tax receipt issued in the name of the 2nd respondent, under the wrong notion that the 2nd respondent is the owner of the house site. Since there was no response on the representation, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the 1st respondent, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders passed.

In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.12.2016 followed by the reminder dated 05.09.2017 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, R2 and other interested parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
