ORDER
The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.118 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Ambasamuthiram, Tirunelveli District in Crime No.209/2013, for the offence under Section 420 of IPC. 2.While pending this petition, the matter has been referred before the Mediation Centre attached to this Bench for amicable settlement between the parties. Thereafter, the concerned parties appeared before the Mediation Centre and settled the issue amicably. To that extent, they entered into agreement before the Mediation Center attached to this Bench as follows:
'1.Disputes and differences had arisen between the Parties hereto and Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11614/2021 and Cri.M.P.(MD)Nos 5930 and 5931 of 2021 was filed on 12.08.2021 before the Hon'ble High Court.

2.The matter was referred to mediation / conciliation vide an order dated 09.02.2022 passed by the Hon'ble Mr. Justice. G.K.ILANTHIRAYAN.
3.The parties agreed that P.Thirunavukkarasan would act as their Mediator/ Conciliator.
4.Several meetings were held during the process of Mediation from 11.03.2022 to 08.04.2022 and the parties have with the assistance of the Mediator voluntarily arrived at an amicable solution resolving the above mentioned disputes and differences.
5.The parties hereto confirm and declare that they have voluntarily and of their own free will arrived at this Settlement Agreement in the presence of the Mediator/ Conciliator.
6.The following settlement has been arrived at between the Parties hereto:
a) The petitioner agreed to pay Rs.1.50,000/- and respondent agreed to receive the same in two installments Le. Rs. 75,000/-each two installments. b)Defacto complainant agreed for disposal of the Criminal case.
7. By signing this Agreement the Parties hereto state that they have no further claims or demands against each other with respect to Crl.O.P.(MD)No. 11614/2021 and all disputes and differences in this regard have been amicably settled by the Parties hereto through the process of Mediation.'
3.In view of the above settlement arrived between the parties, the proceedings in C.C.No.118 of 2018 are quashed. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is allowed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
