*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to direct the Commissioner, Corporation of Madurai, to convert all street lights, Highway lights and Sodium-Vapour lights by replacing with LED lights, so as to save energy and money.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. We have also heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. We direct the Commissioner, Madurai Corporation, to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 17 June, 2017, on merits and as per law, as expeditiously as possible.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
