ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by B.PUGALENDHI, J.) This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the official respondents to take action against the sixth respondent for cutting down the Government Poramboke Trees, such as Teak and Coconut Trees along with the road side of K.Mettupatti - Sirukulam Road.

2. Mr.K.Mu.Muthu, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice on behalf of the respondent 1 to 5, would submit that the sixth respondent is a neighbor to the petitioner and the sixth respondent has cut down the trees in his patta land alone and not in the Government land.

3. According to the petitioner, the trees were uprooted in the month of July, 2019, for which, he has repeatedly given representations to the authorities. It appears the officials from the Forest Department have summoned the petitioner and an enquiry was also conducted on 10.09.2020, wherein, the petitioner has admitted that the trees were uprooted on 22.07.2019. Even then, the petitioner has not collected any details with regard to the land in which the trees have been uprooted.

4. This writ petition is bereft of materials and without collecting the relevant particulars, the petitioner has filed this petition. There is no merit in this writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
