PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.75 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent Police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, who was arrested on 11.05.2024, for the offence under Section 392 of IPC in Crime No.75 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is said to have snatched away the chain of the defacto complainant. Hence, the case. 1/3

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name was not found in the First Information Report. Since the respondent police could not find out the real accused, foisted a case as against this petitioner. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submits that the chain which was snatched away by the petitioner has been recovered. He further submits that five previous cases of similar in nature are pending as against this petitioner. Moreover, charge sheet has been filed and the same was taken on file in CC No.177 of 2024 by the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Ilayankudi.

5.Considering the nature of offence, the antecedents of the petitioner and also considering the fact that the final report has been filed before the concerned Magistrate Court, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to this petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Since this bail application is denied, the trial Court shall endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.
