..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to remove the lock and seal and to allow the petitioners to run the shop situated near Cheranmadevi Bus Stop in Old Bus stand, Tirunelveli Junction under the name and style of Star Times and Mobiles.

ORDER

The petitioners seek for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to remove the lock and seal and allow them to run the shop situated near Cheranmadevi Bus Stop in Old Bus stand, Tirunelveli Junction under the name and style of Star Times and Mobiles.

2.Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.

3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.It is contended by the petitioners that the shops belong to the respondent Corporation, in which, they are the tenants and due to a fire accident that took place on 08.08.2016, the entire properties inside the shop were destroyed and consequent upon such fire accident, the respondent has locked and sealed the premises. Now, the petitioners want to run the shops and for which purpose,

the first petitioner had made a representation to the respondent on 19.12.2016, requesting them to remove the lock and seal. It is stated that the said representation is still pending. 5.Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
