O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the first respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul District, to pass final orders on an appeal filed by the petitioner herein on 22.05.2022, taking recourse to Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the second respondent/ Tahsildar, had unfortunately rejected the claim of the petitioner for inclusion of her name as one of the recognized legal heirs to the properties of her father.

3. The issue is now pending before the first respondent. It is also stated by the learned counsel that notice had been directed to all the 2/5

parties and preliminary enquiry had also been conducted nearly about seven months back.

4. A direction is given to the first respondent to follow proper procedure and ensure that all parties are served and thereafter, endeavour to dispose of the appeal pending within a period of twelve weeks from the date on which actually all the parties had actually appeared before the said first respondent.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
