ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) The petitioner has filed the above writ petition as a Public Interest Litigation, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to accord permission for reconstruction/ renovation of the temples under the name and style of " Sri https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.14667 of 2021 Vinayagar, Sri Karuppasamy" which is situated in S.No.90, at Thummanayakkanpatti, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District.

2. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Standing Counsel for the Government, appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the temple in question does not belong to the Government and comes within the purview of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the fourth respondent is preventing the villagers from renovating the temples. Therefore, necessary action should be taken against him.

4. If the dispute is between the villagers and the fourth respondent and others, it is open to the villagers and the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the police in accordance with law.

5. In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
