ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide the retirement benefits including the arrears of salary for the period from 01.06.2013 to 31.05.2014 with current rate of interest. 2.Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has joined the services of MDA HSG, 105 Sivagangai 2/6
Taluk Cooperative Housing Society Limited on 07.03.1984 recruited through District Employment as the Clerk. When he served as the Secretary, he retired from service on 31.05.2014 after attaining the age of superannuation. Since the respondents have not paid retirement benefits to the petitioner, he has sent several representations to all the respondents. Thereafter, the petitioner filed a writ petition in W.P. (MD).No.21984 of 2016 seeking direction to the respondents for disbursements of retirement benefits including the arrears of salary for the period from 01.06.2013 to 31.05.2014 with interest. This Court by order dated 17.11.2016 directed the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2015 and pass orders on merits in the light of the order passed in W.P.(MD).No.1010 of 2015 within a period of four weeks. Till now, no retirement benefits was paid to the petitioner. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the petitioner's representation is considered. 3/6
5.Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and also the facts narrated above, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 09.12.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
