The petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to expedite passing orders on the proceedings initiated under Na.Ka.B5/1863/2017 dated 21.03.2017 pertaining to issuance of separate patta in favour of the Petitioner for the property in Survey No. 214/2 measuring 24 cents situated at Perunkarai Group, Paramakudi Circle, Ramanathapuram District.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the property to an extent of 1 acre and 75 cents in Survey No.214/2 situated at Perunkarai Group, Paramakudi Circle, Ramanathapuram District was originally owned by his father, by name, Muthaiah. He executed a settlement deed in favour of one Angu to extent of 1 Acre and 51 Cents through a registered settlement deed, dated 12.12.1966. 4.The petitioner would further state that the remaining 24 cents in Survey No.214/2 was retained by his father. After his demise, the petitioner inherited the same and now he is in possession and enjoyment of the same. While so, under UDR Survey, the fourth respondent has issued a patta in favour of the said Angu in respect of entire area viz., 1 Acre and 75 Cents. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation to rectify the mistake. 5.It is further state that the third respondent has sought report from the fourth respondent. But, subsequently, there is no progress. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation on 06.01.2017. Since there is no response, the present writ petition.

6.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.01.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
