O R D E R

Heard Mr. D. Selvanayagam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr. P. Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.

2.The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue a corrected SSLC mark sheet and migration certificate in respect of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Preethy G., based on the request letter forwarded by the second respondent on 22.07.2025.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that the second respondent, by communication dated 22.07.2025, requested the first respondent to rectify the errors found in the SSLC mark sheet and migration certificate issued to the petitioner's daughter.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner produced a copy of the Higher Secondary (12th Standard) mark sheet of the petitioner's 2/5

daughter. A perusal of the same shows that the mother's name has been recorded as "Pushpa Valli S" and the father's name has been recorded as "Gnana Sekar A".

5.Mr. P. Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the first respondent has already called for particulars from the concerned School and that the request forwarded by the second respondent would be considered on its own merits within such time as may be fixed by this Court. The said submission is placed on record.

6.In view of the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Court is inclined to direct the competent authority to consider the request of the petitioner in a time-bound manner.

7.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the request letter forwarded by the second respondent dated 22.07.2025, on its own merits 3/5

and in accordance with law. While doing so, the first respondent shall also take into consideration the particulars contained in the 12th Standard mark sheet produced by the petitioner in support of the claim for correction.

8.The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of two

(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 9.There shall be no order as to costs.
