: Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2016 i.e to measure the petitioner's land in S.No.120 in to the extent of 1 acre 2 cents situated at Thattankkulam Village, Palani, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District. The petitioner seeks for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2016.

2.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner would state that his father and his brother one Perumal had purchased the land in Survey No.120, to an extent of 1 acre 47 cents, situated at Thattankkulam Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District through a registered sale deed dated 01.04.1972 registered as Document No.524/1972. Subsequently, they sold 42 cents to one Periyasamy Gounder in the year 1980. 4.The petitioner would further state that his father passed away on 27.08.1999. Thereafter, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment in the said property. On 24.08.2016, he paid prescribed fee to measure his land. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the writ petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2016, and take appropriate action on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
