Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is an agriculturist. His grievance is that his electricity service connection was cut off without notice.

3. The learned standing counsel would argue that the petitioner has to pay a sum of Rs.81,642/-. I do not want to go into the merits of the matter. The petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs.15,000/- without prejudice to his contention. On such payment, his service connection shall be restored immediately. The respondents are at liberty to issue proper notice to the petitioner and determine the petitioner's liability on merits and in accordance with law thereafter. 2/4
