ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner wants this Court to direct the second respondent to convene a peace committee meeting. It has been held consistently that decision taken in a peace committee meeting do not have any statutory value or force. They cannot be legally enforced. They are steps taken by the revenue authorities for maintaining peace in a locality. The power of authority to conduct a peace committee meeting is not traceable to any particular provision in Criminal Procedure Code. Therefore, the writ petition is not maintainable.
