PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or person of the detenue, namely, M.Essakiammal, D/o.Murugan, 1/4

aged about 17 years, who has been illegally detained by the respondents 3 to 5 and produce her before this Court and handed over her custody to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner, seeking production of her daughter, namely, Essakiammal, aged about 17 years, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the respondent Police has produced the detenue, namely, Essakiammal, before this Court. She has stated that she was studying in the 1st year degree course and at that time, the 3rd respondent being the relative of the detenue girl, had taken her some outstation and from where the respondent Police has rescued her and brought before this Court.

3.The detenue girl would further submit that she wants to continue her course. Therefore, she also wants to join with her parents. 4.The said statement made by the detenue girl being a minor is recorded and since she wants to go with her parents, who have also come before this Court, we feel that the detenue girl can be taken care by the parents. Therefore, recording the aforestated, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
