The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose the appeal made by the petitioner on 03.01.2017.

2.Heard Mr.A.Rajaram, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.G.Muthukannan, learned Government Advocate, who took notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The petitioner would claim that she purchased the land in Survey No.393/1A1, through a registered sale deed, dated 09.10.2013. She was also issued a joint patta in patta No.129. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that her application to issue a separate patta was rejected by the third respondent. Aggrieved over the said order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent, but there is no progress. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 03.01.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as preferably on or before 01.03.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
