2. The case of the petitioners is that they are
agricultural coolies and as per the Government Policy, they are eligible for free house site patta. The 2nd respondent has also invited applications from all eligible persons for such patta and the petitioners have also applied for pattas, followed by several representations, the last one of which was dated 22.02.2017. Though the said representation was forwarded by the 2nd respondent to the 3rd respondent on 23.03.2017 for necessary action, no decision has been taken on their representations by the 3rd respondent. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court with the above prayer.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the third respondent, the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders passed.
4. In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents, preferably the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.02.2017 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners in the light of the order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 23.03.2017.
5. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
