O R D E R
The Petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the Respondent to sanction an education loan of a sum of Rs.2,87,800/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Eighty Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Only) within a time frame.
2.According the petitioner, during 2015-2016 he has joined B.Tech (Aerospace) course in Karpagam University. The total fees for the course is Rs.2,87,800/-. Since the petitioner's father is an agriculture coolie, he is not in a position to pay the said fees. Therefore, he approached the respondent bank for sanction of educational loan. But the respondent is evading to accept his request. In the said circumstances, he has approached this Court for issuance of a writ of Mandamus.
3.Mr.N.Dilip Kumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. According to him, the requisition letter said to have been addressed to the respondent bank has actually been addressed to the Indian Bank instead of Indian Overseas Bank. Therefore, he submitted that the respondent bank has not received any requisition from the petitioner.
