(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned Government Advocate for the appellants and the counsel for the second respondent.

2.We fail to understand as to why the Writ Appeal was even filed by the Government. The learned single Judge had only called upon the Government to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2019 and to pass the order on merits and in accordance with law. In any event, during the pendency 2/4

of the writ appeal, rejection order had been passed. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication.

3.This Writ Appeal is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
