ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in 1/3

connection with a case in Crime No.169 of 2024, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(C) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act, 1985, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was in illegal possession of 2 Kgs of Ganja.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submits that the petitioner is having one previous cases similar in nature.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered and the petitioner is dismissed.
