ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.SRIMATHY,J.) The writ petitioner is the father of the life convict and for attending serious illness of his mother, he has sought for six days emergency leave to the convict without escort through his representation dated 05.03.2025 and reminder dated 13.05.2025.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, states that the representation of the petitioner has been considered in accordance with law and six days emergency leave with escort may be granted to the life convict to attend the serious illness of his mother. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further states that the detenue may inform the prison authority about the convenient period for which he wants six days emergency leave for the purpose of attending serious illness of his mother. 3.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the purpose for which the leave sought, this Court is of the opinion

that the son of the petitioner shall be granted emergency leave for six days with single escort to attend serious illness of his mother. 4.With the above observation and direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
