This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to give adequate police protection to measure the petitioner's properties in Survey Nos.152/16A, 152/16C, 152/22A, 152/22C, 197/2B, 197/4B, 197/5A, 160/1, 177/9B, 177/9C, 178/7B, 178/11B, 178/18B and 179/6A situated at Nerinjikudi Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 02.07.2017.

The grievance of the petitioner is that she has made an application before the Tahsildar, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukottai District, the first respondent herein to survey the above said survey numbers. Now, apprehending that at the time of survey, some of the neighbours will raise objection, she seeks for police protection and that was not granted. Hence, she filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the materials available on record.

The petitioner has only filed an application before the first respondent to survey the properties in Survey Nos.152/16A, 152/16C, 152/22A, 152/22C, 197/2B, 197/4B, 197/5A, 160/1, 177/9B, 177/9C, 178/7B, 178/11B, 178/18B and 179/6A situated at Nerinjikudi Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukottai District. If at all while measuring the properties, any problem arises, the petitioner can make necessary application before the concerned police station seeking for police protection, and on mere apprehension that some third party will raise objection, the petitioner cannot maintain the present writ petition seeking for police protection. Hence, there is no merit in the writ petition and the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
