R.Peria Karuppuchamy : Respondents PRAYER:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the Provisional list of candidates for certificate verification through Proceedings No.Nil, dated 11.08.2017 and consequential Provisional selection list of candidates after certificate verification through Proceedings No. Nil, dated 12.09.2017, published in the website in pursuant to the Notification No.03/2017, dated 09.05.2017 for the Direct recruitment of Post Graduate Assistants/Physical Education Directors Grade-1-2016-2017 issued by the 2nd respondent and quash the same, consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to award 3 marks for seniority and award 1 mark for the teaching experience and add with the secured marks as per the notification and select the petitioner as Post Graduate Assistant-botany in the schedule caste general (SCG) category.

O R D E R

The petitioner is a differently abled person and completed M.Sc (Plant biological science) in a regular mode. The petitioner belongs to Schedule Caste category and could be brought under Schedule Caste General (SCG) category, for which the cut off mark is only 91. The petitioner secured 90 marks in the written examination conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board. If he is granted weightage marks for his experience and employment seniority, he would get more than 91 marks. Therefore, the petitioner will be considered under the Schedule Caste General (SCG).

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents also submitted that the petitioner would get more than 91 marks, under the Schedule Caste General category, because for weightage in employment seniority and experience more marks to be awarded.

3.In view of the above, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's case under Schedule Caste General (SCG) and pass appropriate orders within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
