O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 25.07.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for R1 & R2.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is in possession of the property in question and one K.C.Kuriyan Abraham had obtained patta bearing No.2204 in his name for the very same property of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 25.07.2017 and it has been kept pending without any further progress. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court for early disposal of the appeal.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader for R1 & R2 would submit that if a reasonable time is granted to the 1st respondent, the appeal preferred by the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders passed.

5. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
