By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has come to this Court seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue necessary direction to the second respondent to give the death cum retirement benefit of the petitioner's husband, based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2016 made to the respondents herein.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a desperate woman since the petitioner's husband passed away on 25.02.2003. The petitioner's husband was out of service due to some charges that were pending against him for. The charges against the petitioner's husband were abated because of the death of the petitioner's husband. The petitioner and her son are the legal heirs of the late Mr.Sevadaikkan and she is entitled to get the death cum retirement benefits. But, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents have not disbursed the retirement benefits to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation on 01.06.2016. Since, the said representation is pending consideration, the petitioner is before this Court with the present writ petition.

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, hereby direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2016, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
