ORDER
The petitioner seeks a direction to the third respondent to conduct a Peace Committee Meeting with adequate police protection in respect of the disputes relating to specific Temples in the
2. Mr.R.Baskaran, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 6. On instructions, he submits that a Peace Committee Meeting has been convened at 4.00 p.m. today. He has also produced a copy of a communication dated 10.08.2021 from the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai District, in this regard. As regards police protection, he points out that the said communication has been copied to the relevant police officials and that, therefore, if deemed necessary, police protection would be made available.
3. In light of the aforesaid submissions by the learned counsel for the State and taking into account the communication dated 10.08.2021 from the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai, nothing survives for further adjudication in the present writ petition.
4. Accordingly, by recording the aforesaid, W.P.(MD).No.14703 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
